Day 10 / Thanks

Thanks you so much to everyone who has supported us over the years and made this trip possible.  We had a wonderful time.  Hope you enjoyed reading about our trip and experiencing it with us.  It was a great way end the school year.  Next fall I will be at Univ. of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Mackenzie will be at Murray State.

Day 9

We went to Cedar Point again today, and went to their main attraction Top Thrill Dragster first thing.  It goes from 0 to 120mph in 4 seconds.

I tried to insert a video here but it wouldn't upload but eventually i'll put it on youtube or something and will post it =)

I'm not sure Mackenzie enjoyed it a whole lot, but she rode it twice with me.

Then we went over to the camp snoopy theater and met Snoopy...

We then went to a fun show in the back of the park and enjoyed some nachos and frozen lemonde.

Unfortunately we never got to ride the Maverick which is apparently one of their big ones, but it always had a very long line.

We had a good time though.

We left early to get on the road back home and returned to Mt. Juliet around 11pm last night.

I'm working on a little video montage of our trip and i'll post that when i'm finished.

Day 8

Today we experienced Cedar Point!!

We rode Millenium Force, Mantis, Gemini, and many many more.  We ate lunch at a lovely restraunt in planet snoopy.

We found made some friends that rode behind us on a ride, then ended up in front of us on the next one and then we raced them on the Gemini.  We also witnessed a woman having a seisure but the EMS are extremely fast getting there.  we rode some more and then rode our favorites again.

After riding a bunch of rides we decided to slow down, and checked out the snoopy boutique.

Then we went and watch "Happiness is soooo.... Snoopy" on ICE!
This is the lovely "Justin Beagle"

For dinner we had a "walking taco."

Basically it's a bunch of stuff put in a Doritos bag, pretty good.

There was some long lines and extreme heat, but we survived and rode a bunch of rides.  There is still more to do tomorrow though.

Day 7

Today we slept in, watched some tv, and then headed up to Sandusky.  We grabbed some lunch at Wendy's and drove through Waldo (yep that's right we found it, turns out it's a town in Ohio).  We then crossed over to the dark side, a.k.a. under some very dark clouds into the rain.  A billboard informed us that the egg did in fact come first (not the chicken).  So now we're in Sandusky, watching Bunheads.  Not the most exciting day, but we're ready for Cedar Point tommorrow.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and shout out to Cooks UMC operation overboard VBS that kicked off tonight, wish we could be there.

Day 6

Well today we slept in a little bit, and had a wonderful homemade breakfast!!  We went and saw Madagascar 3; it was very good.  We then went and had some CiCis.

This was all in a little shopping center so then ofcourse we couldn't help going to Marshalls and a little store called Dots.  Then to keep from spending more money we went to petsmart and looked at the adorable cats.

Luckily for our wallets, we have moved up our reservations in Sandusky so we can head up there tomorrow, put an end to our frequent shopping sprees, go to Cedar Point on tuesday and wednesday, and get home a day earlier.

Now we're about to go have some dinner with my relatives.  All in all it's been a pretty nice relaxing weekend.

Day 5

Sooo...  Our plans for the day, and the entire weekend, were to work the Columbus CARES Chrysalis Community's flight that was happening this weekend. But....  Only 4 girls were signed up, so they canceled :(

It's quite depressing.  While we were at the church, though, there was team meeting for an upcoming boy's flight, so we stopped by just to say hello and show them a little support.  We also went ahead and dropped off the agape that we had brought with us, for them to use. Luckily, none of it was too girly for boys.

After we left the church, all the sudden we had a whole weekend in front of us with no plans.  We had seen a sign for a zoo on our way to the church, so we just went there for the morning.  Again, we unwittingly wandered into a mega zoo. Literally, this place even had an aquarium... not to mention the waterpark.  We actually made it through most of the animal sections before lunchtime, so we were pretty proud of ourselves.  I suppose I'll take this opportunity to apologize for the lack of pictures, we were REALLY tired at the zoo, and getting the camera out of the backpack sure seemed like it took a bit too much energy. So, of the very few that we took, here's the most exciting that was taken:

This is a manatee eating his breakfast, and he was being adorable.  He was using his little arms to sweep the little lettuce clumps up toward his mouth, and then pulling the little head shake thing that puppies do to yank it out of the holder. :P

Anywhoo, after we came home from the zoo, we drove out to the mall and went shopping :)
We still managed to have a fun day, although it is really sad that the flight got canceled.

Day 4!

Today we visited King's Island a second time, but we only did our 3 favorite roller coasters, and then headed over for some water rides.
